Mrs. Hensley has over thirteen years of experience supporting the various aspects of construction, with seven years of experience in Construction Project Management, and seven as the Operations Manager for AKEA. As Operations Manager, she insures all office systems are working properly, maintains the company financials, performs all AP/AR functions, processes employee payroll, prepares project schedules, tracks project design submittals, and prepares the company annual reports.
She acquired her certificate in Construction Quality Control for Contractors in February of 2008. Her support responsibilities have included preparing administrative plans and business proposals, preparing and tracking owner invoices, administration of new hire and employee documentation, and oversight of the daily functionality of the office. Her project management experience includes the construction of a new 5,000 SF office building in Newberry, Florida. Construction was completed in June of 2007, and commissioning of the building was obtained in August of 2007 in preparation for seeking LEED certification.
In addition, Mrs. Hensley has over twelve years of experience supporting various aspects of manufacturing. Her professional experience and training include: identifying and documenting process improvements, whether from a cost benefit or from a quality issue; certification in Lean Manufacturing, with emphasis on process standardization in an effort to increase throughput and improve quality; conducting Process Failure Modes and Effects Analyses to identify the root cause of processing errors and assist in the re-design of processes affected by product re-design or regulatory changes; the collection of manufacturing requirements in the design of a production database; and project management varying in size from updating training documentation to leading a newly developed product to market.
