Current Opening: Mid-Level Registered Architect Primary Purpose of Position • Plans, programs, designs, coordinates, and supervises the preparation of project construction documents for clients according to their desires, needs, and financial resources • Coordinates the efforts of engineering and other out-of-house consultants • Conducts periodic on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with Detailed Design Documents • May prepare client project presentations, studies, and reports • Utilizes computer-assisted design software and equipment to prepare project designs and plans, specifically AutoCAD, and/or REVIT • May direct activities of workers engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents for the Conceptual Design Phase, Schematic Design Phase, and/or the Detailed Design Phase of a project • Periodic travel will be required in support of the above activities Knowledge and Skill • B.S. in Architecture required • Registered Architect (State of Florida preferred) • Five or more years of project management experience including project supervision, coordination of engineering disciplines, and construction administration • Experience with Veterans Administration Health Care, Health Care, and Federal work preferred • LEED AP preferred • Excellent communication and organizational skills • Self-starter • Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite • Familiar with BIM • Availability to work full time (40 hours) and work evenings and weekends as required • Availability to travel • Valid driver’s license Additional Desirable Experience/Skills • Experience with General Health Care • Experience with regulatory agencies • LEED Accreditation • Experience in shortlist presentations Problem Solving / Decision Making Must be willing to make decisions in a timely manner as needed. Must be able to prioritize design efforts on multiple projects simultaneously and direct the work flow to keep all projects moving forward to meet multiple deadlines from multiple clients. Responsibilities include meeting the needs of the client and project program including meeting the client’s budget and the design budget. Must be able to supervise and mentor Junior and Mid-Level Engineers. Physical Requirements Reasonably able to climb ladders, either fixed or portable, and perform simple tasks such as removal of access panels, etc.
